To start out!

Well, after saying I am going to blog for ...years now!! Today, this morning I decided to take the leap! Of course I say to myself...what do I have to say that others would want to read? First off---I have ALOT to say--haha! Secondly, I will write this for me, not worrying about anyone reading it.
How does one start out a blog? Hmm, should have read a how to manual! My name is Joy, thus the ramblings of joy name.I am married to a great guy, 15 1/2 years now. We have 7 children. Ages 14 down to 3. We youth pastor as well as run a ranch in the middle of no where in South Dakota.
Its a crazy life, but ti is our life...taken from Little people big world. My second oldest son says all the time that we need our own reality show, that we are just as fun to watch as any of them out there! Oh my, I would HAVE to keep my house clean all the time..I could not have bad hair days..let alone bad kid days!! Alas, they would be searching for all of those, and they would find plenty!! So, nope- we will keep our really cool, marketable, fun family a secret to the camera people!!
Off to get for the second time this morning the kids off for school. We had them all up, and dressed..fed ready to head out the door to the bus stop 2 miles away..when we got the call for a school delay. Why oh why can the call not be made before I get out of bed, and get them all up??? Well, at least they have been very quiet and let the littlest one sleep in! Until later~~~~

  1. How fun, a blog! I have a blog, although I barely ever blog anymore. Maybe you will inspire me to be better about writing on it!
Your family and life sound very exciting. I can't imagine taking my kids to the bus stop 2 miles away every morning, but I guess you get used to that when you live in the country.

  2. Hey Rachel! Added you.:)) You do just get used to taking the kids to the bus...I do wish I could teleport them some days! They then have a hour long bus ride into town...we are 23 miles from town. We have lots of ranch kids out this far also. Its one big happy family on that bus--2 hrs each day!
